Skateboard P discusses the group's new album before the trio performs on the show.

(AllHipHop News) The N.E.R.D reunion album was released today (December 15). No_One Ever Really Dies is the group's first LP since 2010's Nothing.

To promote the project, Pharrell Williams sat down with Jimmy Kimmel. The producer/performer was asked what took so long for him to reconnect with Chad Hugo and Shay Haley for a new album.

"It's kind of like one of those things where it just hits you when it hits you,' explained Pharrell. "I can't just make things for myself. I'm so better at working with other people and producing/writing songs for other people, because they inspire me. I don't inspire myself."

He also added, "This whole entire thing, we did with our eyes closed. Not because we're that good, but because if we would've had our eyes open we would have gotten distracted by all the trends and stuff that was going on. So we made this music with feeling, I think we wrote it with feeling, the visuals that we're doing has feeling."

In addition, N.E.R.D performed "Lemon" and "1000" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Pharrell, Chad, and Shay's No_One Ever Really Dies features Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, André 3000, Future, Gucci Mane, Wale, M.I.A., and Ed Sheeran.
