Pharrell Williams Will Be Honored With CFDA Fashion Icon Award
After losing a lawsuit to the family of Marvin Gaye over his involvement in Robin Thicke's hit "Blurred Lines" Pharrell Williams has just gotten some good news. The Oscar-nominated singer will be receiving the CFDA Fashion Icon Award, according to WWD.
Skateboard P will be presented at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall on June 1st.
Besides having countless musical accolades, Pharrell also has an impressive fashion rap sheet. He co-founded the Billionaire Boys Club clothing line and Ice Cream Footwear and has a collection with adidas.
“If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style but for his kindness and openness. I cannot imagine anyone not seduced by him,” said Diane von Furstenberg, president of the CFDA.
Past honorees include Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Kate Moss.
