Hip Hop and pro wrestling came together for a star-studded event.

(AllHipHop News) It felt like the entire professional wrestling community was in the New York City area over the last seven days. Sports entertainment's main event was WWE's WrestleMania 35 which was held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on April 7.

Prior to "The Showcase of the Immortals" taking place on Sunday, world-famous masters of the squared circle were involved in various events in NYC. Some of those wrestlers showed up for WaleMania V on April 4 at Sony Hall.

Maryland-bred rap star Wale, along with former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide and NUE Agency CEO Jesse Kirshenbaum, produced the fifth annual WaleMania. Attendees were able to experience a live version of Emilio Sparks' Wrassle Rap podcast as well as a music concert featuring Hip Hop acts Westside Gunn, Smoke DZA, Flatbush Zombies, and more.

Newly-crowned WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, fellow New Day members Big E and Xavier Woods, "The Man of the Hour" Lio Rush, WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe, and the NJPW/ROH stable The Bullet Club were among the superstars to make appearances. Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was the night’s guest of honor.
