The powerful pain medication was also connected to Prince's passing.

(AllHipHop News) On November 15, Gustav "Lil Peep" Åhr was found dead on his tour bus in Tucson, Arizona. Local police are looking into why the "Awful Things" creator passed away that day.

It's been suspected the rising artist suffered a drug overdose. A new report from TMZ suggests "incredibly toxic drugs" laced with opioid fentanyl could have played a role in Peep dying, according to investigators.

Fentanyl is said to be 50 times stronger than heroin. The CDC revealed illegal, synthetic fentanyl was linked to at least half the people who died of opioid overdoses last year.

The shocking loss of music icon Prince in 2016 was also connected to fentanyl. That same year, Fusion produced the Death By Fentanyl documentary which investigates America's current opiate epidemic.
