Police Shoot Man At Ice Cube Concert

A violent, shocking altercation took place at an Ice Cube concert last night.

(AllHipHop News) Ice Cube was preparing to take to the stage at a racecourse in California when gunfire broke out on Sunday afternoon.

The shooting occurred during the final lap of a horse race at the Del Mar racetrack in San Diego on Sunday afternoon, when the rap star was getting ready to take to the stage to perform to a sold-out crowd.

Representatives for the Del Mar venue issued a statement confirming that the situation involved one individual with a gun and the incident had been contained, so the concert could go ahead as planned.

Police sources said the suspect went to the ticket collection booth outside the racecourse and fired several shots into the air after learning there were no tickets left.

Graphic video footage obtained by The Blast shows a man being involved in a confrontation with sheriffs deputies at a ticket booth before being shot multiple times.

The man was reportedly taken to a local hospital, and his condition is currently unknown.

Del Mar reps wrote on its website, "In light of the circumstances that unfolded involving one individual with a gun, we take consolation in the fact that no patrons, officers or security personnel were injured in the incident.

"We also are thankful for the work and training our personnel have done with the Sheriffs Department regarding possible active shooter incidents."

Ice Cube is yet to comment on the incident on social media.
