Popular Hip-Hop Club Sues NYPD For $125 Million Claiming Cops Extorting Owner

The owner of Club Lust/Love in Brooklyn says the cops are trying to ruin his business.

(AllHipHop News) A popular club in Brooklyn that caters to fans who love hip-hop has launched a shocking claim against the NYPD, claiming an officer is shaking the club down.

According to The New York Daily News, the owner of Club Lust/Love has filed a $125 million claim against the city.

Imran Jairam is suing the city, the NYPD State Liquor Authority, maintaining that his club has been subject to "endless" inspections and "selective enforcement" due to the club's rap-loving clientele.

The lawsuit claims Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez also demanded 11 round-trip tickets to Puerto Rico worth $80,000, shortly after Hurricane Maria flattened the island.

Imran Jairam claims the NYPD and the liquor board's targeting of his club go back to 2014 when Club Lust/Love opened.

The lawsuit also accuses the NYPD of harassing their patrons by making false arrests and illegal stop and frisks.

Just last weekend, Club Lust/Love was the scene of an epic moment of peace in hip-hop, when rival Brooklyn rappers 6ix9ine and Casanova 2X squashed an escalating beef.
