The record is a streaming juggernaut, and it reached the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

(AllHipHop News) Post Malone's latest single debuted at #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. "Rockstar" featuring 21 Savage hit the Top 5 thanks in part to a record-breaking streaming run on Apple Music.

According to The Verge, Post's single was streamed 25 million times on the service. That passed the previous one-week record set by DJ Khaled's "I’m The One” with Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, and Quavo.

"We just have a long history of supporting Post Malone, even before he got signed. ‘White Iverson’ was being heavily supported in iTunes - that song is old enough that Apple Music wasn’t even live yet," stated Carl Chery, Apple Music’s head of artist curation. "We were supporting him heavily back then, and we did the same thing with the Stoney project last year."

Post Malone tweeted, "thanks to everybody who helped break the apple first week streaming record, i f-cking love yall."

"Rockstar" is also the top streamer on Spotify over the last week. The Republic Records artist's hit has collected over 35 million global streams on that platform.

On Soundcloud, the song sits at #1 with over 6.5 million weekly global streams. The YouTube audio currently sits at 1.8 plays in five days.
