Posthumous Lil Peep/XXXTentaction Collaboration Released

A new track from the late rappers has been released.

(AllHipHop News) A posthumous collaboration from late rappers Lil Peep and XXXTentacion was released today (September 19).

The up-and-coming hip-hop stars both passed away within seven months of each other, with Lil Peep, 21, dying from a drug overdose last November, while his 20-year-old peer was murdered in an apparent armed robbery in June.

Fellow rapper ILoveMakonnen, who co-wrote the track with Peep, posted a snippet of the tune, titled "Falling Down," on Tuesday, and revealed XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, had added a few verses.

"I posted a few weeks ago about how much it meant to me to know that this song I co-wrote with @lilpeep inspired @xxxtentacion to want to jump on and add some verses," he wrote. "Incredibly excited for y'all to hear it tomorrow."

ILoveMakonnen, real name Makonnen Sheran, also thanked Lil Peep, real name Gustav Ahr, and Onfroy’s mothers, Lisa Womack and Cleopatra Bernard in his post, with Cleopatra also sharing a short snippet of the track, and simply writing, "Enjoy."

A source said "Falling Down" will be part of an album of Peep's unreleased material.

He only released one full length record during his lifetime, Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1. Peep died after overdosing on fentanyl and alprazolam while on his tour bus in Tucson, Arizona. Multiple other drugs were also found in his system.

Onfroy released two albums, 17, and ?, before he was shot at a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida in June.
