President Trump Says Kanye West Is "Leading The Charge" After SNL Performance

President Donald Trump is definitely a fan of Kanye West.

(AllHipHop News) U.S. President Donald Trump took to his favorite medium - Twitter - to thank rapper Kanye West for his controversial statements during the season opener of "Saturday Night Live" last night (September 28).

During a rant, which drew mostly Boos from the studio audience, Kanye also claimed he was bullied backstage for wearing a Make America Great Again hat.

"Blacks weren’t always Democrats. It’s like a plan they did to take the fathers out the homes and promote welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s the Democratic plan," Kanye said.

While the audience of Saturday Night Live may not appreciated Kanye's words, President Trump sure did, even though he dissed the show itself.

"Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) - no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems," President Trump tweeted. "Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!"

Apparently, Kanye's choice of fashion for his performance sparked a fiery political debate between Teyana Taylor, Swizz Beatz and others who were in the studio with Kanye over the weekend.

"We sat in the studio less than 48 hours, Teyana Taylor, a bunch of us....I expressed how uncomfortable the culture feels with you wearing a hat that represents a person that blatantly disrespects our people," Swizz said before dropping a beat insulting Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan.

Kanye also doubled down on his support of President Trump with a photo wearing his MAGA hat on a private plane.

“This represents good and America becoming whole again,” Kanye wrote. “We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment.”
