Pro Wrestler Pissed At Diddy For Stealing Brother Love Name

Could a wrestling match for the name be in the future? Probably not, but Diddy has some problems with his new name.

(AllHipHop News) A former pro wrestler is blasting Sean "Diddy" Combs over his name change, which the mogul announced on his 48th birthday.

Did he took to Instagram on Saturday (November 4) to reveal that he was no longer going to go by the moniker Diddy.

Instead, he rechristened himself Love, or Brother Love and the media is already referring to the Bad Boy CEO by that name.

The only problem is, the name Brother Love is already in use by a well-known pro wresting host, who is less than pleased with the man formerly known as Puffy, Puff Daddy and Diddy.

Bruce "Brother Love" Pritchard was a popular preacher-like character on the WWF (now the WWE), where he hosted his own show interviewing the popular wrestlers of the day.

Pritchard has remained active in wrestling for decades and still hosts his own podcast called "Something to Wrestle With."

"Maybe it’s because he’s lost all originality. Maybe it’s because he’s irrelevant," Brother Love fumed. "Maybe it’s because he just wants people to know who the hell he is and hope that he can capitalize off some of the fame that I created way back when!"

This actually isn't the first time Diddy has been in a Dust-up over a name change.

Back in 2002, when he announced he was changing his name from Puff Daddy to Diddy, he was hit with legal action from a producer in the United Kingdom who used the same name.

In 2006, a judge ruled Diddy was allowed to use the name everywhere except for the United Kingdom, where Richard "Diddy" Dearlove has the right to the name.
