Qatari Investor In BIG3 Lawsuit With Ice Cube Gets Diplomatic Immunity

The investor is accused of fleeing Los Angeles for Qatar.

(AllHipHop News) A Qatari man was recently hit with a lawsuit with investors from Ice Cube’s 3-on-3 pro basketball league, but the rapper's attempts may be pointless.

According to reports, one of the men at the center of the lawsuit is Ahmed al-Rumaihi, who has diplomatic immunity, which has afforded him “full immunity from all aspects of civil litigation."

During a recent federal court filing, the Qatari investor was accused of not coughing up about $13 million he allegedly was supposed to invest in the BIG3 Basketball league.

The league’s co-founder  Jeff Kwatinetz swore in a declaration that Ahmed also wanted to use him to gain access to Steve Bannon and President Donald Trump.

Lawyers say Ahmen fled his home in Los Angeles for Qatar a few months before his deposition.

Diplomatic immunity needs to stop being a thing. Doesn't matter what your political position is you need to be responsible for small things such as jaywalking to big things like this. But of course, people in those position are the ones making the laws so they aren't going to rush with a decision to make themselves vulnerable that way.
