(AllHipHop News) Robert Kelly was scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater this Saturday, but the show was aborted. Victory Promotions told Spin the cancellation was due to Hurricane Florence obstructing the South Carolina-based production crew's ability to travel to New York City.
However, the music publication discovered the concert's Ticketmaster page displayed there were many seats still available throughout the venue before the show was canceled. Victory Promotions claimed sales didn't play a factor in Kelly not performing.
The R&B vocalist has been facing activists' calls to "Mute R. Kelly" after years of pedophilia and sexual abuse accusations. This week, Carey Kelly suggested his older brother possibly impregnated their then-14-year-old cousin.
Tank was tapped to open the MSG concert. The "When We" crooner posted an Instagram video to inform his fans he would not be performing in NYC. Plus, Tank offered his support to Kelly.
