R. Kelly May Do Album W/ Mary J Blige + Says Trapped In The Closet Is "Forever"
(AllHipHop News) Hey everyone, R. Kelly is giving us more Panties and will trap us in his fictional closet forever. During an extensive interview with V Magazine, the Pied Piper of R&B announced the sequel to Black Panties, proposed a joint album with Mary J Blige and more.
In the interview, R. Kelly confirms that his next album will be a sequel to last year's Black Panties and will be appropriately entitled White Panties. Later in the interview he makes a proposition to one of the greatest R&B singers of all time that may be the smartest decision of his life:
I’m in the studio right now working on a song for me and Mary [J Blige]. I’m even looking forward to proposing that we do a whole album together. But this is the first I’ve mentioned it. The “King & Queen” album.
Kelly and and Blige are set to embark on the King & Queen tour this year.
The 2014 schedule for R. Kelly was already packed before these announcements. Back in December of last year, Kelly announced that he was preparing to premiere new chapters of his series Trapped In The Closet on television network IFC. According to Kelly, fans can expect Trapped In The Closet to continue past 2014 and past his own life span:
When it comes to Trapped in the Closet, I want my fans to know that there is a lot more to come, and it’s forever. I’m very confident in writing it.
