R. Kelly Reportedly Hires Bill Cosby's Former Attorney Monique Pressley
(AllHipHop News) According to reports, Robert "R." Kelly is turning to a woman that was once a central part of Bill Cosby's legal team.
It appears Kelly is hoping veteran lawyer Monique Pressley can help him in his latest public relations fiasco.
The British publicationDaily Mail claims the R&B singer hired the DC-based Pressley Firm.
Pressley, an ordained minister, was often seen on television defending Cosby regarding allegations he sexually assaulted numerous women.
She stepped down as part of the comedian’s legal defense last August.
Like Cosby, Kelly has been accused of sexually related crimes during his career.
In 2008, he was found not guilty of child pornography.
Recently, R. Kelly was accused of being involved in abusive and controlling relationships with several young women.
The 50-year-old Chicago native has denied the allegations.
Another attorney, Linda Mensch, stated on her client's behalf, "Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such accusations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name."
