(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly's lawyer has issued a statement blasting the Cook County State's Prosecutor for holding a press conference about the singer yesterday.
Lifetime's "Surviving R. Kelly" featured a number of women who confirmed the singer was brainwashing women and holding women against their will in a sex cult at his mansions in Illinois and Georgia.
R. Kelly has denied all of the allegations in the past through statements and even with a song called "I Admit."
But R. Kelly's lawyer just dropped a statement saying Kim Foxx should "silent until there's evidence."
“I don’t think Kim Foxx should be giving any legitimacy to reality TV allegations,” Stephen Greenberg said in a statement to the Chicago Sun-Times. “The lead prosecutor should be silent until there’s evidence. She essentially went up there and said, ‘We have no evidence of a crime, but if someone would like to make something up, please call us.'”
Stephen Greenberg confirmed that so far, no one has come forward to report any crimes against the singer.
"There’s no evidence of anything. You can’t disprove something that didn’t happen.”
Greenberg confirmed neither he nor R. Kelly watched the "Surviving R. Kelly" docu-series on Lifetime.
“I don’t watch that crap. He’s not going to watch it either," Greenberg fumed.
