R. Kelly's team is apparently going on the offensive but now they could be running afoul of the law.

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly's manager could be facing criminal charges after the cops overheard him threatening the parents of one of the women featured in Lifetime's documentary, "Surviving R. Kelly."

According to reports, R. Kelly's manager Don Russell started calling the parents of Joycelyn Savage, who are featured in the controversial documentary expressing concern for their daughter's safety.

Joycelyn dad Timothy Savage felt the threats were serious enough to call the cops, who came over to their house in Georgia to take a police report.

When they arrived, R. Kelly's manager Don Russell called them again and this time the cops were listening in.

The superstar singer's manager fumed that Timothy and his wife were lying on the documentary and then he threatened to provide information that would ruin the Savages, their business, and their entire life.
