R. Kelly Turns Himself In For Sex Crimes; Lawyer Says Singer Is Being Sacrificed

R. Kelly could be spending a good amount of time behind bars now that he has turned himself in to authorities.

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly has turned himself in to face 10 felony counts for sexually assaulting three minors.

R. Kelly, born Robert Sylvester Kelly, is accused of having sex with three of the girls when they were aged 13-17, from 1998 until as recently as 2010.

He showed up to bond court in Chicago just hours after the charges were announced.

R. Kelly has been officially charged, and he will remain in custody until a bond hearing. His lawyer vowed the singer will regain his freedom very soon.

“He’s going to go to bond court, and he’s gonna get out,” R. Kelly's lawyer Steven Greenberg told reporters outside of the courthouse.

“They’re making him a sacrificial lamb for their own sake and there’s no merit to any of this," Greenberg said.

According to police, R. Kelly abused one victim between May 26, 1998, and May 25, 1999.

Another victim was accosted between September 26, 1998, and September 25, 2001, which the third victim was abused in one incident on February 18, 2003.

According to reports, the fourth victim was molested between May 1, 2009, and January 31, 2010.

The bombshell charges come on the heels of a shocking videotape which surfaced showing R. Kelly allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl and then urinating on her.

The news comes after the release of the docu-series "Surviving R. Kelly" on Lifetime, which documented the singer's alleged sexual crimes over the past decade.

The documentary claimed R. Kelly is running a sex cult and brainwashing women, who are being sexually and physically abused in his presence.
