(AllHipHop News) DMX is back on the streets after being freed from federal prison early.
X, born Earl Simmons, is about to get back to work on his career after he was convicted and sentenced to one year in prison over tax fraud charges.
In March of 2018, DMX pleaded guilty to hiding $1.7 million dollars in earnings, from the years 2011-2013.
The rapper was caught managing bank accounts of surrogates rather than his own, to conceal his wages from the tax man.
He was finally released today from the FCI Gilmer correctional facility in West Virginia, where he served the majority of his time.
“I spoke to him; he’s very happy,” DMX's lawyer Murray Richman said. “He’s looking forward to being home. He’s never been hotter than now — people have been seeking him out all over."
In addition to fielding various proposals for film and TV projects, DMX planning on delivering a new batch of music.
