(AllHipHop News) U.K. grime star Solo 45 has been accused of falsely imprisoning and raping four women at a trial in London.
The 31-year-old musician, real name Andy Anokye, denied 31 charges, including 22 counts of rape, five counts of false imprisonment, two charges of assault by penetration, and two charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, at Bristol Crown Court in England.
According to the BBC, prosecuting lawyer Christopher Quinlan told jurors Anokye held the women against their will, assaulted and raped them repeatedly, and said he had met his alleged victims through his grime music career.
"He was known, or became known, to each of the four women through their knowledge or taste for music of that type," the lawyer explained. "They don't know each other. Yet we say each of them suffered in similar ways at different times at the hands of this defendant."
The prosecutor claimed Anokye, a member of the Boy Better Know crew founded by British hip-hop stars Skepta and Jme, put the women in "fear" by quizzing them about their sexual pasts, and even simulated drowning by waterboarding one alleged victim.
He is also accused of stabbing one woman in the leg, pouring bleach into her mouth, and threatening to brand her with a hot iron, as well as driving another to a secluded area and threatening to have her shot.
