Rapper YG Seeking To Put Civil Lawsuit On Hold

YG is asking a judge to postpone a civil trial for beating some dude up.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper YG is asking a judge to put his civil lawsuit over an alleged robbery in Las Vegas on hold until after his criminal trial.

The rapper, real name Keenon Jackson, stands accused of stealing a gold chain and diamond pendant from a fan named Benjamin Naderi in May, after he asked YG for a photo at The Cosmopolitan hotel.

The MC refused and then reportedly grew upset, as members of his entourage allegedly jumped Naderi.

The hip-hop star is accused of taking the man's jewelry.

YG surrendered to police in July after a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was initially slapped with one count of felony robbery.

He was then hit with two more charges for grand larceny and larceny from a person. He has pleaded not guilty.

Naderi also sued the rapper for assault, battery, and theft, and is demanding at least $250,000 in damages, but YG is now insisting he should not have to sit for a deposition because he does not want to testify about anything that could be incriminating before the criminal trial.

He also claims the incident occurred after Naderi "essentially stalked" him.
