Rappers Celebrate Easter Sunday In Different Ways

(AllHiphop News) This Easter Sunday rappers across the Hip-Hop community shared in celebrating Easter, also called “Resurrection Sunday”

Across the game, from new songs to new babies, this Easter was eventful for Hip-Hop.

T.I. celebrated Easter with the birth of a new baby, welcoming his 7th child into the world with Tiny Harris.

The rapper took to Twitter to share in the widely reported news, “#Facts #HappyEaster #GodIsGOOD #AllTheTIME #Amen ”

Kanye West also celebrated the holiday in the form of the release of “Ultralight Prayer.”

The religious inspired song quickly spread and features a poignant sermon at the beginning of the song.

With a chorus singing in the background and the assistance of a Kirk Franklin Yeezus calls on God as he’s been known to do (“Jesus Walks”) and delivers a timely record.

“Father, this prayer is for everyone that feels they’re not good enough / This prayer is for everybody that feels they’re too messed up /
For everyone that feels they’ve said ‘I’m sorry’ too many times/ Let them know that’s why you took the nail/  So we could have eternal life,” Kirk Franklin says in his sermon.

Yesterday according to KQED, Mistah F.A.B. provided food and an opportunity for families to have fun  with a free Easter egg hunt at Mosswood Park in the Bay.

Nas celebrated the holiday honoring famed singer and pianist Nina Simone, posting the following image on Instagram with the caption “Listening to Nina.”

Bun B honored Jesus with a Tweet saying, “He has risen! Happy Easter.” Following his Tweet about the holiday, Bun B took time to bring awareness to the Pakistan bombing that took place last night, killing 44 people.
