Rappers To Celebrate Mac Dre Next Month In San Francisco

The legendary bay area rap star will be honored by a number of top hip-hop acts.

(AllHipHop News) Mac Dre is considered a pioneer of the hyphy movement which left an indelible mark on hip-hop music.

Since his passing, his mother, Mac Wanda continues to manage his Thizz Entertainment Companies.

“Andre’s mission was to showcase up and coming Bay Area Hip Hop artists. My mission is to continue that legacy,” explained the late rapper's mother, Mac Wanda.

On July 5, 2018, Mac Wanda presents Mac Dre Day 2018 at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, CA.

This year the event is hosted by Mally Mall and will feature performances by Tyga, Nef The Pharaoh, Yhung TO, Sneakk, Yhung CEO, Lil Sheik, Philthy Rich, Coolio Da Unda Dogg and more.

Mac Dre Day will be another day of celebration honoring the life of the Vallejo legend.

Having released 14 albums during his career, three posthumously, Mac Dre's image is represented throughout the Bay and he is frequently mentioned in lyrics celebrating the Bay Area.

Despite the premature end of his life, Mac Dre remains a celebrated creative artist and entrepreneur who injected humor into hip-hop.

His company, Thizz Entertainment launched a line of successful comedy videos and bobblehead dolls.

The third-annual Mac Dre Day will feature performances at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco where fans will come together to not only celebrate the rapper’s life and legay, but the entire Bay Area sound.
