Remy Ma's Lawyer Says Rapper Was Home When Assault Took Place & She Can Prove It

Is Remy really the victim here?

(AllHipHop News) Remy Ma is very confident she is going to beat an assault case filed against her by her "Love & Hip Hop" co-star.

Brittany Taylor claims Remy Ma punched her in the face and gave her a black eye during a scuffle backstage during a charity event at Irving Plaza on April 16.

Brittany claims she tussled with Remy around 9:30 pm, just as the Pretty Lou Birthday Charity Concert was starting.

Remy's lawyer claims the rap star was nowhere near the scene of the alleged crime, and surveillance footage will exonerate her.

Dawn Florio says Remy was sitting at home, during the time Brittney claims she was assaulted.

Remy's lawyer says the rap star has surveillance footage from her house to prove it. Remy claims she arrived at Irving Plaza at 10:45, just 15 minutes before she was scheduled to go on stage.

Furthermore, Remy's lawyers so she can prove the rap star was at Target shopping, during the incident in question.

Earlier this week, Remy Ma turned herself in to face a misdemeanor charge of assault over the incident.

The whole ordeal has the potential turn into a huge issue for Remy, who served six years of an eight-year sentence in a New York state prison for shooting her friend in the stomach back in July of 2007.

Remy is still serving probation for that incident, and she is supposed to be finished her parole this August.
