Remy Ma & Safaree Face Lawsuit For Canceled Benefit Concert In Chicago

Do the performers owe a non-profit organization money?

(AllHipHop News) The Circle Foundation is reportedly suing Love & Hip Hop stars Reminisce "Remy Ma" Mackie and Safaree "SB" Samuels. An article on TMZ lays out the Chicago-based organization's lawsuit.

According to the entertainment website, Circle Foundation is accusing Remy and Safaree of breaching their contracts to perform at a benefit concert scheduled for April 21, 2018. The two rappers supposedly signed a "performance exclusivity" clause which prevented them from doing shows within 60 miles of Chicago's Wintrust Arena for 30 days before the event.

However, Remy apparently performed at the Black Women's Expo on April 8, and Safaree apparently performed in the Rockin' Horse Saloon & Grill on April 14. The Circle Foundation is now taking legal action to get back Rem's $35,000 deposit and SB's $7,250 deposit. The lawsuit is also seeking additional damages since the benefit concert was called off.

Mackie's attorney, Eric Sanders, stated the rapper is "unaware of any purported legal action filed but, if such action is initiated she will respond accordingly." As of press time, Samuels has not publicly responded to the suit.
