(AllHipHop News) Rich Homie, real name Dequantes Devontay Lamar, filed a lawsuit against label bosses Think It’s A Game Records in 2015, alleging they owed him $2 million in unpaid royalties.

Company executives counter-sued the 27-year-old, claiming the “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” star failed to report money earned from unauthorized music released while still under contract to the label.

The parties settled last year and the rapper is now working on his debut studio album, which is due out later this year.

“First and foremost I would like to thank God for this amazing opportunity,” a statement from the rapper reads. “I’m excited to be a part of a building that has such great history in music. I look forward to this new chapter in my life and giving my fans the best I have to offer.”
