Rico Nasty’s ‘Countin' Up’ Documentary To Premiere At New York City Screening

The First Lady of the DMV will take questions at ‘The Fader’ event.

(AllHipHop News) Rico Nasty is on pace to be one of the breakout Hip Hop stars of 2019. Before the Maryland representative becomes a widely known national figure, listeners can get to know her better via a new documentary.

COUNTIN' UP will premiere at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn on February 11. The Fader senior editor Lawrence Burney is also hosting a Q&A with Rico and the film’s director Orian Barki following the public screening. Plus, there will be a DJ set by Miss Milan.

The doc follows Rico Nasty on tour as the "Roof" performer balances her burgeoning music career and motherhood. She told AllHipHop in 2016, “It’s hard. But I know it’ll pay off. I know that this stuff comes with a lot of shows and nights away from home. But my family supports me in everything I do, so my son just makes me want to work harder.”
