Rihanna To Get Street Named After Her In Barbados

The Bajan superstar is expected to attend an Independence Day ceremony in November.

(AllHipHop News) People will soon be able to drive on a street named after Rihanna. According to Nation News, the Barbados Ministry of Tourism announced the Anti album creator is being recognized in her home nation.

"The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday 30th November, 2017 officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honour of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road," reads a statement from the Caribbean country.

Rihanna and Prime Minister Freundel Stuart are scheduled to attend an unveiling ceremony on that date.
