Rostrum Records To Release Mac Miller's 'K.I.D.S.' Mixtape On Streaming Services

Fans will be able to play the late emcee's breakout project.

(AllHipHop News) Another popular early mixtape from a Hip Hop star will be re-released to streaming services. Following Drake's So Far Gone hitting streamers in February, K.I.D.S. by Mac Miller will soon be on Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal too.

Rostrum Records founder Benjy Grinberg made the announcement on his Instagram page. K.I.D.S. came out on the label back in 2010. The project introduced Miller to a larger audience and helped the Pittsburgh native make it onto XXL magazine's 2011 Freshman Class cover.

On this 9th anniversary of the first tape that Mac and Rostrum put out together, I’m excited to announce that “K.I.D.S.” will be available on all streaming services later this year! After Macadelic came out, Mac asked if we could clear this one next. It has been challenging but we are getting through it. We miss Mac every day and we see our job as making sure his music lives on. We love you, Mac.

Malcolm James McCormick passed away on September 7, 2018 from an apparent accidental drug overdose. The 26-year-old rapper/producer was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home that day.

His discography includes numerous mixtapes such as Best Day Ever, Macadelic, and Faces. Mac Miller also released the studio albums Blue Slide Park, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, GO:OD AM, The Divine Feminine, and the Grammy-nominated Swimming.
