(AllHipHop News) Run DMC and Usher are the subjects of a new lawsuit from R&B singer Syleena Johnson's Father.
Syl Johnson, a musician in his own right, maintains that Usher and the surveying members of Run DMC own him money for sampling his music. Johnson has sued the two entertainment giants for sampling his 1967 hit song "Different Strokes" without permission.
Sony Music and Universal Music Group are also named in the lawsuit.
In 2011, Johnson also sued Jay Z and Kanye West for similar reasons on Watch The Throne. The case was settled out of court.
