RZA Says Fur Isn't Cool And Supports Total Ban In New York City

The legendary rap star has linked up with PETA to help support a new bill to stop the sale of fur in New York.

(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang Clan frontman RZA has joined with PETA to support a ban on fur in New York City.

Council Speaker Corey Johnson has proposed legislation which would prohibit the sale of any types of fur in the city.

Last night, RZA penned a letter to politicians saying the days of rocking fur as a status symbol are done.

“Though it may be argued by some that fur used to show elite status in our community because of the inequality we face in society, those days are done," RZA wrote in his letter. "That’s reflected in a poll that shows 77% of black NYC voters support the bill.”

RZA is also included in a new video asking people to stop wearing fur.
