(AllHipHop News) This is great news for Wu-Tang and hip-hop fans alike.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a biopic of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard is in the works at Sony’s Columbia Pictures.
Who will produce the film?
RZA, one of the hip-hop collective’s founding members.
While they are currently searching for a director, fans can expect to see ODB on the big screen in the near future.
ODB passed away on November of 2004 of a drug overdose.
Aside from being group members, RZA and ODB are cousins.
In January of this year, RZA spoke with Rolling Stone about the possibility of a biopic.
He stated “I think it’s a great idea, and there has been talk about it. There are a few wheels in motion with one done by our first cousin Rayshawn; he was the young guy there watching everything that happened.”
