Tidal and Samsung has allegedly been in talks to merge for a few months.
However, Samsung has officially stated that they have no interest in purchasing Tidal. Recently, Samsung Says It Won’t Buy Tidal (EXCLUSIVE)">Variety reached out to a company representative, who claimed that the rumors were all false.

Rumors about Samsung acquiring Tidal originally started when Jay-Z was spotted on the company grounds to meet with an executive, but maybe that was for purchasing those couple of million copies of ANTI.
