ScHoolboy Q delays album due to passing off his good friend.
(AllHipHop News) With Mac Miller’s passing, many in the hip-hop community took to social media to share their condolences and pay tribute to the late Pittsburgh rapper.
ScHoolboy Q was one that considered Mac family. TDE’s Punch tweeted a few days later saying “Q good,” to make sure fans know he was holding up.
During a recent concert, ScHoolboy Q gets on stage to give an update on his recent project.
He states, “ With my n##ga gone right now, I just don’t feel right putting out on album. Listen dawg. I’m up here, ya’ll making s##t easier for me right now, I’m smiling and s##t. As you can tell, I’m not my real self right now. I shouldn’t even be here right now. But like I said, my n##ga Mac wouldn’t want me in the house sad. He would have clowned me. I’m here today, because there’s no way he would have allowed me to sit in the house. I’m not going to be a little b##ch.”
He continues, “In the process of dropping every 2 years, I ended up making 4 albums right. I’m overwhelmed right now. I’m happy right now. So look, I’m go back and figure out when to put this f##king album out, because ya’ll wanna get this album. Right now, I’m just not ready to walk into the radio station and they ask me, ‘So Mac Miller…?’”
In addition, he tells the crowd he would not be performing “Blessed” because he’ll start crying.
