Sean "Diddy" Combs & Russell Simmons Make Forbes Magazine's "100 Greatest Business Minds" List

The Hip Hop reps join Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, and more.

(AllHipHop News) Sean "Diddy Combs has amassed a fortune upwards of $820 million. Throughout his career, Diddy made major business moves in music, fashion, liquor, television, and other ventures.

Russell Simmons was one of the first Hip Hop moguls. After helping to create Def Jam Recordings, the entrepreneur went on to build a net worth estimated to be around $320 million.

Forbes recognized Diddy and Russell for their accomplishments in commerce by naming the two native New Yorkers to its list of "100 Greatest Business Minds." Combs and Simmons joined other successful capitalists such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Michael Bloomberg, Bono, Rupert Murdoch, Shonda Rhimes, Elon Musk, Martha Stewart, Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Donald Trump.

Diddy told Forbes:

I started my business career at age 12, delivering newspapers. I had a lot of elderly customers, so I would always put the newspaper in between the screen door and the door -- that caring made me different, made me better than the last paperboy. Since then, I've always understood that if I give the customers my best and service them differently, whether music, clothing or vodka, I'll get a return on my hard work.

Simmons said:

The self is the greatest teacher: The more you dig, the more you learn. So the self-discovery is your journey. Yogis refer to the state of yoga, which is the same as heaven on Earth. If you're present and awake, you become this great thinker, this great worker. You become a fine-tuned machine.
