Many biopics have been speculated upon and brought to life over the past year but Martin Luther's King's story may be the most compelling.
Paramount Pictures released the trailer for the upcoming movie, Selma, which will follow Dr. King's plight as he tried to overcome racial turbulence in the south with non-violence. In the film, viewers will see how he organized the Alabama march from Selma to Montgomery to push for African American's voting rights. Dr. King is played by David Oyelowo who stars alongside Oprah Winfrey, Common and Cuba Gooding, Jr. Brad Pitt was also listed as one of the film's producers.
Selma will hit theaters Jan. 9th but will have a limited release in New York and Los Angeles theaters on Christmas day.
