(AllHipHop News) SZA has an effect on people.
Recently, the TDE singer revealed she was racially profiled while shopping inside Sephora in California.
The singer put the company on blast, and revealed she was followed by security for no reason as she looked at products from Rihanna's Fenty Beauty collection.
Sephora eventually apologized after a wave of bad press. Rihanna even sent SZA a Fenty gift card with a note "Go buy yo Fenty Beauty in peace sis!"
Now, the makeup store takes action by closing its stores for a company-wide diversity training on Wednesday, June 5th. More than 400 stores will be participating, with inclusion workshops for employees.
In a statement, Sephora states they “believe in championing all beauty” and “building a community where diversity is expected." Over 16,000 employees will be trained with the brand’s values.
Sephora is following in the footsteps of other big brands such as Nike, Starbucks, and Papa Johns after acts of racism.
