(AllHipHop News) Russell Simmons is one of the celebrities accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with women. Fashion model Keri Claussen Khalighi claimed the legendary Hip Hop mogul raped her in 1991.
Simmons issued a statement saying the sex with Khalighi was consensual. The Def Jam Recordings co-founder also stated that he and Khalighi were seen together in public days after the alleged sexual assault took place.
Unlike accusations involving Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, and others where the accused lost their Hollywood jobs, HBO is standing behind Russell Simmons. The network revealed it will still run Simmons' All Def Comedy program.
While the Tony Rock-hosted stand-up special is remaining on HBO, comedian Sinbad warns that Simmons' troubles with sexual misconduct allegations may not be over. The A Different World alum spoke to TMZ.
"I ain't shocked by anybody," said Sinbad. "I'm not even saying he did it. They gonna work that out - the law... I gotta err on the side of the girl right now cause it's all getting crazy.
He added, "If there's a little bit of truth, then there's probably gonna be another one. Nobody does anything one time."
