(AllHipHop News) Rae Sremmurd's trip to New Zealand was more than memorable.
First, the rappers got into a bloody street brawl on the streets of Auckland, just before their big performance at the FOMO Festival at Elder Park.
Authorities warned over10,000 fans attending the concert to stay out of nearby Torrens Lake, or risk being arrested.
That's because toxic algae had grown in the lake's water, but the warning made no difference to Rae Sremmurd's Slim Jxmmi.
Jxmmi defied authorities orders and swam in the water anyway to some waiting paddleboats, to the crowd's delight.
“They asked me what SremmLife was so I jumped into the lake (Adelaide),” he captioned in his video.
Luckily for the group, local authorities decided not to pursue any charges against them, and it appears that they may not have been aware of how dangerous the algae was before they jumped in.
“We do, however, strongly discourage people from swimming in the river given the water quality and safety issues which are a potential health and safety risk,” said a spokeswoman for Adelaide City Council.
The rapper also posted some concerns about his health after his quick decision to plunge into the toxic waters, especially since he has an injury on his hand after the street fight earlier in the week.
"I just found out the lake was toxic. Crazy. If something happens to me the lake did it," Slim Jxmmi said.
