(AllHipHop News) Prosecutors in Chicago still have disgraced "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett in their cross-hairs.
According to reports, the singer is expected to be prosecuted for allegedly faking a hate crime against himself back in January.
The actor had the world's attention after the attack, when he claimed two white men supporting President Donald Trump beat him up, tied a noose around his neck and dosed him with bleach.
After an investigation, it was revealed Jussie allegedly paid two Nigerian brothers to orchestrate the attack. He was eventually hit with 16 felonies over the alleged ruse.
But in a stunning turn of events, Cook County's State's attorney Kim Fox agreed to drop the charges against Jussie, prompting nationwide outrage.
Jussie isn't in the clear by far - a Chicago judge just appointed a special prosecutor to find reasonable grounds to pursue charges against the actor.
A judge just found some "irregularities" in the case and the ultimate decision drop the charges may have been flawed, leaving Jussie possibly exposed to charges again.
