(AllHipHop News) Earlier today (Jan. 20), Stacey Dash visited Fox News' Fox & Friends. Dash, a self-assured political commentator would go on to make some bold declarations. She and host, Steve Doocy would have a lively dialogue. The conversation covered contentious topics like the Oscar nominations, the necessity of Black History month, and the suggestion to remove BET from the air.
The Clueless actress did not mince any words. When speaking on the Oscars she matter-of-factly stated, "We have to make up our minds. "Either we want to have segregation or integration." That blunt assertion was the segue into Dash diplomatically sharing her stance on the need for channels like B.E.T. that celebrate African-American heritage.
She continued, "And if we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you're only awarded if you're Black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It's a double standard."
As the convo continued Dash would then challenge the need for Black History Month. "Just like there shouldn't be a Black History Month. You know? We're Americans. Period. That's it," she stated.
That's not all. After the host, Steve Doocy, asked Dash to confirm that she wants BET axed, she added that Black History Month should go down with it. Soon Doocy would reinforce her stance when he questioned, "Are you saying there shouldn't be a Black History Month because there isn't a white history month?"
"Exactly. Exactly," was Stacey's stringent reply.
Do you agree with Stacey's startling perspective?
