Suge Knight Arrested

Suge Knight was arrested Monday for allegedly

violating terms of his parole, a charge that Knight's attorney has denied.

The violations involve his alleged association with gang members.

Authorities said they learned of the violations

when they raided his office and home on November 14 in relation to several

gang related homicides, the result of an on going beef between rival factions

of L.A. blood gangs.

"He hasn't done anything but try to obey

the law and work hard since his release,'' attorney David Chesnoff told The

Associated Press. "I'm hopeful that when this is all thoroughly analyzed

that he'll be permitted to be released.''

Knight has been on probation since 1995. Knight

allegedly pistol whipped producers George and Lynwood Stanley during an altercation.

Knight was arrested after meeting with his

parole officer.

Knight has been free since August 2001, after

serving 5 years for violation of probation on assault charges. On September

7, 1996, Knight was involved in the infamous altercation in the lobby of the

MGM Grand. Knight assaulted Compton Crip Orlando Anderson, which many believe

led to the murder of Tupac Shakur later that evening.
