The Death Row Records founder, real name Marion Hugh Knight, is currently behind bars awaiting trial on a murder charge after being arrested in January last year on suspicion of the murder of record executive Terry Carter in an alleged hit-and-run incident.
Activist and actor Cle 'Bone' Sloan was also injured in the alleged hit-and-run, which occurred after an argument on the set of N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton.
Knight also faces a wrongful death lawsuit brought by Carter's widow in June last year.
Former N.W.A bandmembers Ice Cube and Dr. Dre were also initially named in the suit, but last week a judge cleared them of any responsibility for Carter's death.
Knight is scheduled to go on trial in February next year.
