TDE's First Lady earns another accolade for her breakout year.

(AllHipHop News) SZA's amazing year is still not over. Her Ctrl has been named the best album of 2017 by Time magazine.

Time stated about the New Jersey-bred singer-songwriter, "She may be one of a kind, but she’s speaking the truth of a whole generation." SZA edged out her TDE comrade Kendrick Lamar's DAMN for the top spot.

Kendrick recently earned his own "Best Of 2017" accolade when Rolling Stone selected DAMN for this year's leading musical work. CTRL landed at #20 on that publication's list.

Both Top Dawg Entertainment artists are up for multiple awards at the 2018 Grammy Awards. SZA received five nominations, including Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best New Artist.
