(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper T.I. has been very protective of his Hustle Gang affiliate Iggy Azalea. Whenever the "Fancy" performer had to face negative press or criticism from other artists, Tip stood up to defend his "No Mediocre" collaborator.
Iggy was once again the subject of some unfavorable headlines when she decided to cancel her entire North American "Great Escape" Tour. The Australia native cited the need for a mental break as part of the reason the trek has been axed.
During an interview with Hot 97, T.I. was asked about the public backlash over Iggy's tour cancellation. The star of VH1's The Family Hustle reality show did not mention his protégé by name, but he did offer his thoughts on entertainers' having the ability to create in the way they see most fitting.
"One thing about it, it's just like when you shoot a bullet out of a gun - you can't take it back. So once that tour goes out, it's out. You have to feel the absolute most confident, and you have to be in the best position to present your art to the world," said Tip. "If you don't feel that, for whatever reason, there's no reason to half-ass present anything. So I feel any artist deserves the right to postpone or reschedule any presentation of their art. Any true fan should appreciate that."
