(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop star T-Pain has filed a $1 million lawsuit against his former managers.
T-Pain says he hired administrators at Chase Entertainment Corporation to serve as his personal manager and talent agent back in 2005.
In 2009, he continued the deal for five more years.
Under the terms of the agreement, they were entitled to 20% of commission from all recordings and endorsements secured.
But T-Pain only recently learned they were not properly licensed to be agents, despite reportedly having "promised to protect him and advise his career decisions."
T-Pain ended up firing his manager in 2014, and is now suing company officials, accusing them of illegally taking commissions from him, while also allegedly "concealing... the true nature and details of the financial agreements relating to his music career..."
He goes on to directly call out his former representative, claiming the manager failed to cover all of the required expenses, failed to account for funds brought in, and did not provide an accurate accounting of his finances.
He is seeking more than $1 million in damages, in addition to the return of all commissions he paid to Chase Entertainment chiefs since 2005.
