TDE Attempted To Get Andre 3000 On Kendrick Lamar's 'Good Kid M.A.A.D. City' Album

What do you think "B*tch, Don't Kill My Vibe" would've sounded like with 3 Stacks?

(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar, Top Dawg Entertainment, and the label's fans celebrated the five year anniversary of the Good Kid, M.A.A.D City album on October 22. As part of the day-long commemoration, TDE president Terrence "Punch" Henderson tweeted about the 2012 LP.

The posts included Punch disclosing that a Hip Hop legend was pursued to appear on GKMC. Apparently, at one point, there was a chance Andre 3000 of OutKast could have contributed to the Sounwave-produced track "B-tch, Don't Kill My Vibe."

"I remember trying to get 3 Stacks on 'don't kill my vibe'. He couldn't catch the vibe lol. He was shooting the Jimi Hendrix movie," Punch wrote on Twitter. "Can't help but to think what he would've sounded like on that joint. Then [Jay-Z] did the remix so it worked out lol."

The "B-tch, Don't Kill My Vibe" remix did feature a verse from Jay. There are also reports that Lady Gaga was expected to provide the original chorus for the record. In addition, the Pop superstar eventually let loose her own version of the song.

I remember listening to the album and when I got halfway through I told my friend "I think I'm listening to Illmatic." I was right.
