(AllHipHop News) Singer-songwriter SiR gained a lot of attention in 2018 with his Top Dawg Entertainment debut studio album November. This week, the R&B vocalist returned with the new single “Hair Down” featuring fellow TDE signee Kendrick Lamar.

“Hair Down” was selected as Zane Lowe's World Record on Apple Music’s Beats 1. SiR also spoke to Lowe about completing his upcoming body of work, and they discussed the Inglewood, California native’s collaboration with K. Dot.

“[Kendrick Lamar] did exactly what he's supposed to do. The song is about being confident in yourself, and he's living his life and he definitely let it be known in that verse,” stated The artist born Sir Darryl Farris. “I'm a huge fan, I don't even got to really say it. You should've seen me in a session when he was recording his verse. I'm sitting there like a kid.”

SiR continued, “I was just trying to soak it all in. It's hard to really describe these feelings. Especially for someone that loves music as much as I do. To be in these rooms, it's incredible. But at the same time, it's the norm now. I've had to adjust and get used to the thought that I'm supposed to be here. So it's a blessing and it's definitely a lot to take in, but at the end of the day I think we got it done, and I can't wait to share more music and keep going.”
