"Jay Rock is coming out on TDE. He is now fully TDE," revealed Tech. "We did what we were supposed to do for him, for the homie, and pushed him forward to get his album out, because Warner Brothers wasn't doing it. We fulfilled that, and now Top Dawg are able to take Jay Rock and do what he's supposed to do on his next album."
Jay Rock's 2011 album Follow Me Home was released via Strange and Top Dawg. He is said to be currently working on his next LP. TDE's CEO Anthony Tiffith recently tweeted that Rock and fellow Black Hippy member Kendrick Lamar's respective projects are "coming soon."
Despite losing Rock from the team, Tech and Strange still had another great financial year. The Kansas City native pulled in a reported $8 million over a 12 month period. He landed at #16 on the this year's Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings list. That is up two spots from 2013 where he was ranked #18 with $7.5 million.
