(AllHipHop News) It seems Aaron McGruder's departure and a four-year hiatus did not prevent fans from flocking back to the return of The Boondocks. The L.A. Times reports the season four premiere broke the series' all time ratings record.
Around 1.4 million adults 18-34 watched the "Pretty Boy Flizzy" episode making it the number one show on broadcast and cable in that demographic. It was the highest rated Adult Swim prime-time program in five years and beat out NBC's The Voice and the NBA playoffs on TNT.
The episode's storyline centered around a bad boy R&B singer named Pretty Boy Flizzy seemingly modeled off of Chris Brown. The next episode titled "Good Times" airs Monday, April 28th at 10:30 pm.
