(AllHipHop News) The Breakfast Club has become one of the media outlets that several presidential contenders feel they must visit on the way to hopefully winning the White House. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Kamala Harris, and other politicians have stopped by Power 105.1's syndicated morning radio show.
On Monday, The Daily Beast published an article under the headline "How Hip-Hop Talk Show ‘The Breakfast Club’ Became a Must-Stop Spot for 2020 Democratic Candidates." The program's three hosts also appeared on Fox News Channel yesterday.
DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God spoke to Fox News @ Night anchor Shannon Bream about their impact on the political landscape as well as officeholder's policies. Bream also asked if The Breakfast Club would be willing to interview the President of the United States.
"I don't think that will go well," said Charlamagne. Envy replied, "I think that would go amazing, actually. He would have to be honest." Yee then offered, "I don't think that he would be comfortable answering any questions from us. I doubt that he would stay for a full interview with us, just because it's a lot of issues that I have with things that he says that have been problematic for us and for our people."
Charlamagne also stated, "I don't think he would come because I don't think he cares about our audience. There's nothing about Donald Trump that makes me think he cares about black and brown people." The three media personalities made it clear the POTUS is welcome to The Breakfast Club, but they would not make a "pitch" for him to come on their show.
